I am a mum of a 9 year old who has suffered most of his life with a serious allergy to sulphites, sulphites affect his ability to control his existing diagnosis with asthma. As a mum I am always overcautious when it comes to purchasing food for our family, however often find precautionary allergen labelling (may contain, prepared in a factory that may contain etc) a real obstacle at times, particularly due to the diversifying use of such precautionary labelling. I have been motivated to complete a comprehensive, academic report on precautionary allergen labelling, which will be submitted to the FSA and relevant government bodies to call for legal regulation to be introduced to improve consistency and improve consumer decision making. I would be most grateful if you could take 5 minutes to follow the link and complete the attached questionnaire, providing your thoughts and experiences on precautionary allergen labelling; all for a great cause in contributing to making a real difference by holding retailers and manufacturers to account. Many thanks, Alix. www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/SHZGCP5
