Bumps/lumps on DD foot - spreading

My DD (5) has had a series of small lumps on the top of her foot since she started walking. They are a mix of small surface bumps, much like a sting reaction, and some larger lumps on the ligament part of her feet. The larger can rub on shoes and get red.

Neither cause any pain (she would soon tell me!) but they have started spreading to up her ankle recently.

I've not sought medical attention as it's really not urgent and having no material effect on her, however I'm curious as to what is causing these, any ideas?

Could be small cysts, I would get them checked by the GP, even if not causing any issues now better to get it on her record in case they start becoming a problem later on.

I can't believe you never went to the doctor for that.
Yes, it is probably ganglion cyst, but they usually are isolated, multiple ones needs investigation, because when you have several, it is
cystic ganglionosis. The cysts should resorb, but if she has had them for 4 years now and they are spreading she might have a genetic susceptibility for them.

They might occur on wrist or hand, so have her looked at.

Thanks so much. They've really not caused any concern to DD at all and with how busy primary care have been I've been reluctant to use a much needed appointment on something causing no current discomfort. Will certainly get these checked out not though, so thank you!
