Any idea?! 8 month old rash/spots

My nearly 8 month old has a spreading rash/spots on his body. They started as small red pinpricks, not raised, with a white ring around them. They have slowly turning to bumps and seem to be spreading from his arm (especially underarm) to his other arm, back and even one on his face.

I can't seems to find anything similar online so any advice or idea of what it might be would be really helpful! Sent a picture to my GP (we're away) who said 'put moisturiser on it Hmm)

Could they be molluscum spots? My daughter has had them forever and they sometimes look like that

My DD got chicken pox at 6 months old. Keep an eye out for blisters forming. If not that, could be an allergy thing? Different bedding? Food/drink?

Thanks both @AnxiousWeirdo D'oh. I was worried it might be molloscum. Any advice?! @kittlesticks I'll keep an eye out for blisters for sure. He hasn't had new food but we are on holiday so I wondered if they could be bites...

Looks like bites to me

insancerre · 24/07/2021 16:41

Could be chicken pox
Just keep an eye on them to see if they blister

5zeds · 24/07/2021 16:43

I think chicken pox more than possible. Is it more in hot places (eg under nappy)

dementedpixie · 24/07/2021 16:43

The ones in a line look like something has been stopping at intervals for a wee lunch break. Looks too uniform for chicken pox

dementedpixie · 24/07/2021 16:44

If you are abroad have you been using insect repellent?

Hi, my Daughter seems to have the same thing, did you ever find out what it was? Shes had this for 15 days and the steroid creams don't seem to be helping, I have her booked in for another doctors appointment today, this is the only post I have seen that has been identical to what she has same arm and everthing
