My LO was prescribed amoxicillin 1 year ago for tonsillitis and came out in a rash all over his body after the first dose. He has just been diagnosed with bacterial tonsillitis again and the GP is insisting on trying the amoxicillin again to test if he is allergic as he says the rash the first time may have been related to his illness rather than the antibiotic.
I am I being unreasonable in pushing for an alternative antibiotic?
