Cyst on penis

Has anyone any experience of this? Ds (3) has a small lump on his penis and walk in doctor says it's a cyst but I'm really unnerved about if this could mean something sinister and what will happen next. I've got an appointment with my own GP tomorrow but just wanted some reassurance as I'm fretting 😢

One of my boys had this. It's a build up of smegma (hate that word). It eventually burst when he was in the bath one evening. Yuck. It didn't return.

@JaneJeffer thanks so much, was your son's skin coloured though? I thought it would be white if it was smegma build up

Wait till you see the GP - you shouldn't be pulling back the foreskin on your 3-year-old's penis.

It just looked like a huge lump and the white stuff wasn't visible at all. I didn't have a clue what it was so took him to GP who referred him to a specialist. He explained what it was and thought it was caused by a tight foreskin.
