Hi everyone. My LO is 16 weeks old and for a while now we have had trouble with feeds now and again. GP and HV don't seem too concerned although they treated him for thrush then when got the swab results didn't bother to tell me it was never thrush in the first place, so my trust in them isn't the greatest!
Anyway, he chews his hands from morning to night, he spits the dummy out to do this - which we could never get the dummy off him at one point! He has a small rash on his chin and cheeks, he dribbles so so much, he is fussy with feeds, some feeds more than others, I've noticed it's as the day goes on he gets more fussier with the feeds and the last three days has been very moody and cries lots. The weather is very hot here so on the first day this happened I thought he was maybe too hot and I cooled him down but he isn't overly warm, we've been making sure to keep the house nice and cool for him. I know some of these things he's doing is normal at this age but I've noticed to small things under his gums, these are obviously teeth lol but I wouldn't say there's a bump there as such, nor is his gums red or swollen etc.
Does this sound like teething to you? If so, is it normal for him to behave this way even though the teeth aren't ready to break through? Are they ready to break through? Lol I'm a first time mum in need of some advice! I phoned my HV on Friday and I am yet to hear back from her! Lol
TIA. X
