I'm in hosp struggling to hold it together my 16 month old son has been diagnosed with bronchiolitis he is really struggling to breathe. His sats are poor - 89/90. They r trying to put oxygen on him but he's so distressed he's pulling it off I'm having to physically restrain him. He's had 2 nebulisers which have helped slightly.

I need support / info and most of all some positive stories.

They won't let me husband in so I feel so alone in this.

Has anyone been through similar?

I'm so glad to hear he's okay.

My ds had it a lot when he was a baby, toddler and preschooler and his sats would drop to 80ish. He would perk up pretty quickly though which was a blessed relief. In fact the only time he didn't, he actually had pneumonia. He was 5 months and v poorly indeed.

He grew out of it by 5. Well just about, he had a random recurrence age 7 but it's now a distant memory!

I well remember sitting in hospital watching the numbers on the machine.

Brilliant that he's home.

I had the exact situation when my DD was 15 months and it was horrifically scary. They were pumping here with an inhaler as well and ended up on oxygen and being monitored overnight. We were sent home the following morning. So glad you're through it now - such a scary experience. Hope your boy feels much better Smile
