Reflux or something else?

I have a 5month old ebf baby. Who since birth has been really pukey. We've tried gaviscon & omeprazole, but nothing is making any difference. He's not just sick after feeding, it can be anytime at all, lying down, sitting up, during feeds, hours after feeds etc. He's not loosing weight - his nickname is chunk 😂 but he's feeding from me a lot more to replace what he's lost. I've tried to feed him for shorter times more often but he's just not happy. I have this weird gut feeling that it's not JUST reflux as all the doctors tell me - all because he's gaining weight & looks healthy they won't entertain anything else going on, but surely if it was reflux these meds & changes to feeding would make a difference?
I was told to cut down on my dairy intake & still no difference but been advised not to cut it out completely. When he takes the omeprazole he's like the devil child for about an hour after & seems really uncomfortable throughout the day.... he is not a baby that cries really....he's only cried at jags & now when taking omeprazole. I'm stuck on what else to do, my guts telling me there's something more, or am I just an anxious mum? I don't have the option to get a second opinion as only one doctors surgery near me.

Could be heart burn. Don’t lie him flat.

He may have an inclined mussel at the top of his stomach, which causes the acid to bur rise and burn it’s quite common. It should improve when he can sit upright by himself, but until then don’t lie him flat at all’.
