My ds1 is 3 and in the last few days has started to have nose bleeds at night abs some in the day. I know children can get them but seems to be quite a lot anyone else experienced this or have any advice?

My kids get them when the weather is particularly hot and dry. The eldest started them around three and seems to have grown out of it now. We took them to the GP as, like your DC, they were having them a lot and she said it was DC1 age and the heat and not to worry.

It’s 100% the heat as jellybe says. My DS and DN both suffered on hot nights throughout childhood. I think I remember reading it’s to do with blood vessels expanding (don’t quote me on that though). Good news is they seem to grow out of it.

Could be the heat but if your child doesn't normally suffer with them, please contact your GP for advice.

My 8 year old has had them for a few years and when he gets them it just pours and pours with big clots. My 3 year old has now started getting them, again quite heavy. He is under a paediatrician for other things and I mentioned it to them, they confirmed it's nothing to worry about and they tend to grow out of it at around 10.
