My 7 month old is hardly drinking any milk.

She is on 3 meals a day as we started weaning at 4 months as the milk was not satisfying her.

I understand she will reduce her milk intake as she is on solids but she only has around 18oz per day and refuses to drink water or juice.

She has reflux so is on Aptamil anti reflux formula and has been since she was about 3 months old.

She doesn't seem to have lost any weight or not gaining any.

Any advice would be appreciated?

Thanks

Do you give her formula before food? So a bottle and then breakfast- a bottle and then lunch?

Yes always bottle before food, I was originally doing it the other way around but now before hoping she will be hungry and drink the milk first.

So she refuses the bottles?

I will make her a 6oz bottle and sometimes she will only drink around 2oz and then refuse but then other times drink the full 6oz.

Then she likely needs to be hungrier before her feeds- leave it a bit longer- she’s only 7 months I would probably take out one meal- likely lunch one day and see if she drinks more

Yes I may try that, thank you!

Actually OP I just check my Ella weaning book- 18oz a day sounds about right- maybe change nothing
