Ringworm on the scalp!!!

Long story short, we got a cat back in April... unknown to us at the time, he came with ringworm- first I caught it from him, then my child and then my partner. The cat went to the breeder for treatment, while I cleared it our end! So my daughters and partners rashes both cleared pretty quick with cream from the doctor, mine have taken a little longer, but finally started to clear... this has all taken about 6 weeks. In that time I’ve been cleaning like mad, washing bedding a LOT, spraying with anti fungal spray- the lot! Finally thought we were coming out the other end and even getting our beautiful kitty back this weekend (provided his skin swab comes back all clear)!

Then yesterday my partner spotted a rash on my daughters scalp Sad I was in tears all day and just couldn’t believe after everything I’d tried to do to prevent it, it got to her scalp! I was straight on the phone to the doctor, who has prescribed another topical cream... I’ve read some horrible horror stories and am just at my wits end with this whole thing! It’s made me so anxious and I’ve just had enough of it! I guess I’m looking for anyone who has experience of this and come out the other end?? I need some positive stories and any tips/tricks etc.

Thank you in advance!

Not a doctor - but here's some reading material on different drugs.
You must be so upset. These kinds of things are insidious - I hope you're rid of it soon.
