Hello I was wondering if you have any advice for my 3 month old nearly 4 months little girl. She constantly putting her fists in her mouth or any thing she can grab hold of. I've tried calpol once to see if it's pain she is in but she still continues to do it and also tried teetha powder but it makes no difference. She can get frustrated with it and I offer her milk and she will take it so some is telling me she may need a top up or hungry. But other times she just continues to do it. My first child didn't do this so I'm a bit confused on weather its teething or anything more then that xx

It's unlikely (although not impossible) that she's teething. Absolutely can be a sign of hunger, but also they just like doing it once they're able to.

My DC started doing this around 12 weeks old. I used to give them a wooden spoon to chomp on! I think the teeth might start moving in their gums around now which is why they start dribbling and chewing.

That's exactly when my little girl started 3 months she really studies her hands and then gets really aggressive with them in her mouth and if I put a clean finger in she chomping on my finger really hard. The only time she cries is when she may need a top up. But even then sometimes she refuses it. That's y I thought it might be teething as my GP said they can start teething as soon as 1 month old. And even some born with teeth xx
