8Mo projectile vomiting

My 8mo has been unwell for around 3 weeks. Started with vomiting and I assumed he had caught a sickness bug. He started getting very fatigued and the vomiting was much worse so we went to out of hours GP who did his observations and said likely a viral bug.

A week later and still only really bf and not eating solids he started being sick in the mornings again. Napping a lot, tired after not very long awake.

Took him back to the out of hours GP who said to try him on gaviscon for the vomiting and maybe he has gastritis.

Well he’s been sick again this morning. We’re talking projectile vomiting. Yawning after not long awake. Just not his normal happy self (I’m forgetting what that’s like now). Definitely worse when going from lying to sitting or sitting to being held.

I wondered if it was his ears; the first GP didn’t check them then the second said it was hard to see as they were very dirty.

Just waiting on a call from our own gp.

Wondering if anyone had been through similar with their DC?

I hope this doesn’t alarm you too much, but vomiting on waking, especially the kind of ‘effortless’ vomiting you describe, and the tiredness, not eating, worse when going lying to sitting are reasons I would be asking for MRI. Have a read of the following:

Hope your little one is ok xx

@diamond400 thanks for taking the time to reply. We went to the GP on Wednesday and she thoroughly assessed him. Ears and throat fine, heart, lungs and tummy fine. He perked up massively yesterday and started eating solids again. Not vomited since Wednesday thankfully. He seems much happier today, trying to crawl and pull himself up.
