DS has never had a problem with eczema or had sensitive skin. He's had the normal newborn spots that come and go over a few hours but nothing that sticks around. About a week ago I noticed some small spots starting on his tummy, and it's slowly spread. This morning however it's spread massively and is really bad. He has a few other small patches on his arms and legs and back.
He's been on formula and expressed breast milk pretty much since birth, we've just been using breast milk for the last week but last night he had formula again which is the only change.
He's had mucousy poos on and off since 4 months, it started when he was on formula just before we moved to breast milk and it then became more frequent. Sometimes it would be just a blob of mucus with a tiny bit of poo. Always yellow though, never green or frothy. Never seems to have trouble passing wind or a poo, used to have a bit of reflux and still sicks up after a feed sometimes but it's much better, and it never used to trouble him lying down or anything.
Is it possible for a dairy allergy or intolerance to not show itself until now? I'm going to call the GP when they open as the at home measures we've been trying don't seem to be enough anymore.
