15 month old coughing all night

My daughter has had a cold for the past week, snotty nose, sneezing etc. Tonight she has been coughing non stop, we have a humidifier on. She coughed so much she vomited the poor thing. She is currently asleep on top of me. Anything else i can do the help her sleep more comfortably?

Open window for fresh air worked better than humid air for my DD. Lots of fluids to loosen mucous and soothe throat, and prop her up a bit to sleep so her head is higher than her chest. Covid test in the morning, unless she's already had one?

Poor thing,it’s horrible hearing them cough all night.
My DS has mild asthma and when he was that age he was very wheezy and would cough so much in the night when he was ill.
Just check she’s not wheezing or struggling with her breathing,might be worth getting a Dr to listen to her chest?

My LO has been the exact same the other week op!
As pp I kept our window open to get the fresh air in and again lost of fluid.
I also used vicks on his chest.
Lasted about 10 days Tbfh! Hope she feels better soon!

Might be worth turning the humidifier off again if it isn’t making a real difference. It might actually be making it worse, depends on the type of cough. Hope it passes soon. Get some sleep yourself during the day too if you can.

There is a lot going round right now- my 6 year old has had a cold all week that developed into a cough this morning so we all have the joys of self isolating today while we wait for results.
