New mum here! It's often 20-22' in our room at the moment as it's a generally warm room despite windows open etc. Feel like my baby should be in a short sleeve body suit with babygrow only. Will he get too cold this way? Would he wake up and let me know he is too cold if so? Worried about him overheating as we usually use a sleeping bag but feels to warm for that nat the moment.

Hi. My daughters room is 21 right now and she's in a 2.5 tog sleeping sack. I think your baby would be really cold with the equivalent of no blanket. If you were in a 21 degree room with no blanket, you'd definitely be cold in the middle of the night.

Google the tog chart but also use common sense. When my daughter gets up her legs and torso are not hot at all and that's in a warm room with a sleep bag.

How old is your baby?

Thanks so much for advice. Mindful every baby is different and perhaps your daughter may be different to mine? We matched the guidance and had a 1 tog with babygrow etc and he was hot so we had to cool him down. Lots of sleep guides seem to say different things but they all caveat with "it's just a guide" and go by your baby temperature. Perhaps mine is more sensitive to heat? His body temperature measures at a perfect 36.4 for his age.
