I’m looking for anyone’s experience with either of these issues.
I’m feeling so ridiculously anxious about my DS. He’s 5.5 months old and hasn’t gained any weight since 12 weeks! He’s gone from over the 91st percentile to under the 25th.
He’s EBF and feeds well! We were advised to start solids by HV and have done so for 2 weeks- no difference still in weight.
Last week he had 2 seizures (tonic-clonic) no temp or infection. We were in hospital for a week and had bloods, eeg and a sedated mri tomorrow. Bloods were normal- still waiting on the second lot.
Safe to say the hospital are concerned.
Im so worried something is terribly wrong- has anyone’s child failed to gain weight and it not be a major health concern?
Also after 2 seizures has anyone’s child NOT been diagnosed with epilepsy?
Thanks in advance

Mine did not gain weight that much, especially dd2, she had reflux. Were they all on the same set of scales?

As for the epilepsy question, after 2 they will be doing thorough investigations and it's likely that they do diagnose epilepsy unless they find another cause.

My dp's dd has epilepsy, I know how worrying it is, I'm still concerned about being home alone with her (she's older, other sn)

@minniemomo thank you for replying!
I’m assuming they are the same as it’s the same room we go to each time... other then the hospital scales which were not the same- used once.

I thought the same. It seems like they were suggesting epilepsy. Though they were exploring a possible link between weight/ seizures so I wonders what that could potentially be (they didn’t really elaborate)

Oh goodness, this is how I feel! How will I ever be able to leave him knowing something could happen!
