9 year old, headaches

Hello... I'm struggling to get perspective on this as I tend to worry about my DC's health, although they are pretty healthy and have rarely seen a doctor.

DD is 9 and has recently had a couple of really nasty headaches. She wakes up with a headache, which gets gradually worse and then she is sick and the headache gradually eases and she's fine later in the day. This has happened twice in the past month or so, and she's also had some short, sharp headaches at random times, which come and go within about 5 minutes.

When the headaches are bad her eyesight is blurry and she feels dizzy. She complains of being dizzy quite often in the mornings and also says she can't see well, although a recent optician appointment was all ok.

The last episode a few days ago she was sick maybe 10 times in 4 or 5 hours. No stomach ache or upset tummy.

She's otherwise healthy and full of energy. Eats well. She's showing no signs of encroaching puberty yet. She has hypermobile joints and is currently awaiting an appointment for bladder issues (urine leaks not infections). Oh, and she's been incredibly moody lately!

Should I watch and wait or take her to the GP? I've terrified myself by googling to be honest. I know the likelihood is migraine or viral but the NHS web page on headaches in children linked me through to a brain tumour page and she ticked several boxes...

I'm lurching between thinking it's just a couple of headaches in an otherwise healthy child and GET HER TO A DOCTOR YOU FOOL! I'm struggling to get help for some health issues of my own at the moment and my GP thinks I'm a total hypochondriac. I guess I'm worried this will confirm their opinion of me!

Thank you for reading my rambles :)

AS it's happened several times, of course you should take her to the GP. AS you say, likely 'just' migraine, but why should she have to go through that when there is medication that could help her?

Thanks @Seeline – the bad headache + vomiting has only happened twice (once Easter weekend and once this weekend), but the dizziness and blurred vision have been bothering her on and off for a while.
