Has anyone's little ones had chicken pox and only had a few spots? Thanks.

Hi @babysunshine20

One of my DC had chicken pox with just about 10 spots (1 nasty one) but it was confirmed by a doctor, just a mild case I guess. My other child was the exact opposite and was covered in spots - I stopped counting after 100!!

Thanks for replying. My eldest had about 10 spots in total and my youngest had none. The Dr confirmed it last week by sending pictures of the spots..

Yes my youngest only had a couple, but he had all the cold symptoms and sleepiness. He was about 1yr old at the time and picked up immunity as been around CP since and not picked it up.
Did your youngest show other symptoms?

babysunshine20 · 13/05/2021 18:01

Hi my youngest has had such a snotty and runny nose and has still got it. He is 2 years old.

The younger they are, the fewer the spots and the milder chicken pox is. Chicken pox is much more dangerous in teens/adults.

Yes, and she got it again a couple of years later.

My 10yo looks like he has chicken pox, but the spots are disappearing so may not be after all. Thought they usually scab over?🤔

He feels miserable anyway so keeping him off school.

DS was covered, inside eyelids, foreskin, ears and up his nose. DD had none. We only knew she'd had CP as she got shingles years later.
