Please forgive me if this is a stupid question, but when is the skin on a boys penis supposed to retract?
My DS will be 10 soon and the skin on his penis does not retract. I've obviously not tried to do it myself but my son has occasionally complained that it's itchy down there (although not for at least 6 months), but I would encourage him to wash it in the bath and try and pull the skin down a bit as that's what I was always told guys do to clean it. Problem is he cannot do this. He says it hurts. I've asked my husband about it and he's not worried at all. But I am! I've heard stories about boys who have not been able to retract the skin to expose the head and as a result have had to have surgery when they're older.
I'm worried that he'll either be prone to infections because the skin doesn't retract, or that he'll eventually become self conscious of this as he gets older and possibly be criticised for it once he starts having sex.
Can anyone share any similar experiences or words of wisdom was this has been weighing on me and I'm worrying
