Wobbly permanent tooth?

My son is staying with my parents this week whilst I work and today mentioned that one of his bottom front permanent teeth (that he's had for two years) is wobbly.

I will call the dentist in the morning but has anyone experienced this? He's not had any mouth injury so seems very strange...
