infected fingers ?

Hello everyone! First time posting hope I'm doing it right 🙏 my son is 7 weeks and I cut his nails a week ago and filed them too I think I might have damaged them and he sucks on them too I'm not sure if it's infected because it's red although the redness has gone down I have swaddled him to keep them away from his mouth his skin has ripped on the side of the nails and it's brown not sure if it's healing ? I don't know how to explain and it doesn't let me attached photos

Could you phone the Drs tomorrow and book a telephone consultation? They will be able to send you a link so you can send them the photos to look at. Unless you’ve cut them too low/caught the skin I can’t see how you’ve damaged them, if you can’t speak to the Dr maybe pop to the pharmacy and get the pharmacist to have a look, they can diagnose skin problems.

I thought maybe because I filed them and maybe filed the skin 🤦‍♀️I haven't cut them to low for sure. Yh I'm defo going to call the doctors hopefully all is well. Thank you for the reply xx
