Unmixed anti biotics

My dd 5 has been prescribed a course of anti biotics for 10 days by the hospital. We were given 5 days worth and then told to take a script to the local pharmacy after that for the rest. I have done that today and been given the anti biotics in a powder form to mix myself. The pharmacy assistant said there were very clear instructions to follow inside but the only ones to follow were the ones that were meant for the actual pharmacist and these were half covered with a sticker. It said to mix 63mls of water with the powder which us quite difficult to measure precisely at home. Has anyone else had to do this as I'm not comfortable with it as I'm not sure on the accuracy at all

First tell is the name of the AB or look it up online, instruction should be available.
If you don't have a small measuring conical glass, you can use a syringe from a bottle of Calpol or any syrup you have in the use and refill it again and again until you reach 63 ml.
Often AB bottles have a line on the bottle that indicated how much water should go in it, you usually fill it until you reach that line.

You posted this thread in the school staff topic. I am going to report it so it is moved to children's health .

We do this as my ds is on antibiotics long term you need to use cooled boiled water for a start but if I was you I’d ring Pharmacey and get them to talk you through it as they are all different.
