Hi
I was diagnosed autistic shortly before the birth of my son, who is now 10 days old.
He doesn't make eye contact with me and I'm worried this might be a sign of autism.. I know I sound paranoid and newborns may not do these things early on, but still can't shake the worry.
Anyone know anything about newborn eye contact? Ta!

Yeah....they don’t do it.
It happens ROUGHLY between 6-8 weeks.

I recommend speaking to your midwife and health visitor about your worries and concerns.
Congratulations on your baby btw 🙂

Congratulations on your baby boy!
It is honestly much, much too soon to tell anything from looking/not looking for your little one.

10 day old babies don't make contact with anyone op.

He can only focus for the distance from your boobs to your face and he is too little to make eye contact yet.
