Opticians please

During a routine check for my 6 year old today the optician said there is a small congenital cataract at the top right of child's left eye. They also said there is no issues with vision and will not cause any issues. However google says otherwise

If it's not on the visual axis (sort of line of sight) then it won't cause any visual problems.

I suspect you're not googling the right thing!
