DD 21 months developed a rash on torso a couple of weeks ago which the GP has diagnosed as eczema (from photos). Prescribed Zerobase but we are finding that when we use it, the next time we go to put it on the eczema is actually coming up where we put the cream previously (you know when you spread it out a bit over the area and surrounding). So presumably Zerobase isn't the one for her? She has a bath emollient too but two weeks of using that has only seen the rash spread but it's hard to say if that's the Zerobase and/or the bath stuff. It's now on both sides of her torso and starring to move round to her back.
I will contact GP again but wanted to see if this is fairly standard in newly-diagnosed eczema or if there is something else I should be asking? We haven't changed anything else at all with DDs routine for months and months, and fortunately it doesn't seem to be bothering her at the moment. She has absolutely no signs of any ill health other than this rash.
