Constant high temperatures

Just seeing if anybody else'a little ones have this and if anyone knows the reason why.

My dd has suffered with high temperatures when poorly since about 6 months, this resulted in a few hospital trips and one very worrying ambulance journey due to the temperature making her breathing irregular.

She is now 4 and so we are kind of used to the temperatures and don't tend to worry as much but is there a reason it happens in some children. If she has a cold or any type of bug her temp will reach 40.5 and sometimes higher. This tends to make her more poorly than the actual bug as the temp can make her projectile vomit and get very shaky, short of breath ect.

Just wondered if anybody had the same with their little ones

Hi OP. I know this is a little late but I have the exact same with my DD. she’s only 15 months so a lot younger than yours but she always seems to get a temp... no other symptoms but just acts really unwell. We’ve been to the hospital a few times but they do general obs and because there’s nothing they can see they just always say viral.

My mum said I was the same when I was a baby but you can’t help but worry. How constant are her temps? Does she act unwell?
