Sons sore penis

Hi my son is 9 and has always been able to pull back his foreskin to wash in the shower but the last week he has complained that it's sore to do this and it has looked a bit red. Does anyone have any ideas why this has suddenly changed?

Is it sore to pee?

Could be an infection. Call the gp.

No he says it isn't sore to pee and is well in himself

Could have an infection. 3yr old son had the same symptons. It was balanitis and be was prescribed Fucidin cream to put on

Yeah balanitis. Very painful. Speak to the GP.

We've had similar and it was as pp said above. Doc prescribed daktacort and it was sorted in a few days.
