Hiya.

Anyone’s toddler ever had a temp
With no other Symptoms? Then 2 days later develop a rash on both cheeks? My daughter is 18 months. She’s had a temp and red cheeks, her temp is now normal, she’s had calpol but her cheeks are bright red?? Even though her temp is normal
We not been in contact with anyone so no nursery apart from my mum and she’s been with her dad and other sibling. The rash disappears when pressed and she’s a lot more perky in herself singing but just wondering what this rash could be. Can’t take her to doctors as I have other children and no childcare today unless it was an absolute emergency! Anyone else ?

It sounds like slapped cheek. Or could even be teething??

Slapped cheek, teething, or it could be red cheeks from the wind? It's been very windy near me recently and that makes my cheeks bright red sometimes.

Yes sounds like it could be slapped cheek or 5th disease I think it's called. It's not dangerous in children but can cause harm in pregnancy so that's the thing to be aware of. I remember coming into contact with it when I was pregnant and had to have a blood test to see if I had antibodies. It could of course be something else or even teething.
