Epigastric hernia?

Evening, does this look like an epigastric hernia? My son has had it for a few months now, he's 2. No pain with it. Took him to the GP who said it felt like a hernia, referred for a scan but the sonographer seemed to scan the wrong area and dismissed it. Another GP appointment tomorrow. I've been worried senseless but since googling, it does seem likely it's an epigastric hernia which is quite reassuring going against the other things racing around in my head (I have severe health anxiety).

Yeah was diagnosed around a few years ago by the GP. She got it after a period of constipation and straining, poor love.

Hi @boppin , not sure if you're still active at all and understand that this an old thread but I've just taken my child back to the GP with this and they're still being very vague. Would you mind telling me what your child's hernia was like? Was it visible on a scan, did it push back in, cause any discomfort etc or was it always there or not? Sorry for so many questions I'm just really bored of being told it's not a herniaSad
