Will hospitals rules on one parent per child end too? Will both parents be allowed to stay over night with their child instead of limited to one? Will both parents be able to go to children's appointments or operations or chemotherapy infusions etc? Or will the nhs probably not change how things are for a while?

Most have always been one parent overnight haven’t they? Unless things are really bad.

I think the one person rule will probably stay in place for most routine appointments

I'm not too sure so thought I'd ask, I think depending if you were in a side room or on the actual ward, but you may be right!
But it definitely used to be two parents for infusions, operations , was hoping that may of lifted but as said above you may be right about that too. I guess the only way to actually know is ask the hospital next time I go with my dd

I was in hospital for 3 weeks with my son last summer. Weirdly it was much easier without having visitors. It felt so calm not having random families traipsing in and out, having a good nose as they walk past, and causing a lot of noise as they all gather. I think just being able to walk to the toilet in your pj bottoms, or not worry too much about leaving your stuff unattended because there weren’t randoms around, made it more relaxing. You kind of felt everyone you met was ‘in the same boat’ I imagine it was easier for the nurses too!

I also didn’t know two parents ever both stayed over night.... there definitely wouldn’t be room for that in a normal size bay.

In every hospital trust I’ve worked in only one parent has been able to stay overnight, there just isn’t the room.

We all don't know when this lock down will end, So, During this lock down period, we should engage our children in sports activities at home , like Boxing, baseball, basketball etc.
