Hi there mum of a child with 2 years of both knee pain. Recent bloods show elevated CCP antibody bloods as part of rheumatoid screen.
Actual Rheumatoid factor negative. Child has improving coeliac screen bloods since diagnosis.
Symptom of knees stiff in morning, eases as day goes on. Limited exercise now because of this but always pain on both knees when stops after activity and goes to take off to do anything again. Pulled out of all impact exercise at minute as ends up in worse pain to knees. Tall slim no other history.
Has anyone had a child with similar presentation? TIA Worried mammy

My daughter has suspected JIA.

Started with hands stiff in the mornings and swelling of her knuckles. Then knees. Then ankles. She had positive rheumatoid factors on blood test but normal range in other bloods.
The symptoms come and go, are worse when she’s cold or during the winter/after exercise.

Dd is 15, sporty and tall and slim. She snow under OT and physio. But still they can’t be utterly sure it’s JIA due to the fact it comes and goes so quickly
