DD only mentioned this this evening and I will ring GP first thing but her period has been going on since Dec ! It must have started a year ago so I was expecting it to be a bit erratic while settles but I am worried she’s only just mentioned this and I hope it’s ok.

I mean her first period started a year or so ago. I wonder if anyone has had an experience of this and what caused it?

Sometimes it can just be hormones, it was for a friend of mine and she found going on the pill helped a lot.

Make sure she gets the right diet or takes an iron supplement while she’s bleeding like that - it’s easy to become anaemic without realising (my friend just got gradually more tired and grouchy which no-one thought much of because teenager)

Thank you so much. That is sensible advice and I might even look into a good supplement for now. The GP said similar that it can happen and he said just to keep an eye on it for another month.

I’m so glad to feel a bit reassured for now at least and thank you
