6 year old in the mornings

My 6 year old dc has a good diet and eats well. In total so far on 4 different occasions in the past 1.5 years they have woken up in the morning and felt weak, shaky and sick, also looking very pale. Then about half hour later dc throws up and then is prepared to eat a little breakfast and comes back to normal quickly.

Any idea what this could be I'm associating it with potential low blood sugar because we noticed it only tends to occur when they don't eat much dinner or close enough to bed. Would this warrant a gp visit.
