Keratosis pilaris

My LB is almost 10 months old. Over the last month or so I have noticed what looks like Keratosis pilaris cropping up on his upper arms and cheeks. I don’t think it’s eczema as there are lots of little white rough bumps. It doesn’t seem to bother him but it feels really dry and bumpy

Does anyone have any experience or this and can they tell me how they helped to treat it. I use Aveeno products currently. I haven’t tried Eucerin or Dermexa but I heard these could help? Can anyone tell me what they used and what worked?

Thanks!

Aveeno is quite oily I wonder if it’s blocking the pores? Maybe try just water for a couple of weeks and see if it helps?

Long shot here but @charstp did your sons KP clear up? If so, how did you get it to? My LO has it and I'm really struggling!

If you are breastfeeding I would increase your Omega 369 intake. That should help.

Use a cream with a high urea content.

Eucerin is excellent.

Hi @boobippity
Yes! I ended up getting prescribed with a mild steroid cream which I was told to use twice a day AM/PM for 5 days upon flare up and a cream called Balneum Plus cream which has 5% urea in it (I finally found a Dr who had some knowledge of KP and Urea is what's needed!) I applied it morning and night for months and now he doesn't need it anymore! Good luck! X
