Toddler - keratosis pilaris on arms & cheek

Hi all,
My 2 year old has some small bumps on the back of his arms & a couple on cheeks (which seem to go away faster) I'm pretty sure it's keratosis pilaris, it doesn't seem to bother him or itch at all. I just moisturise after his bath and sometimes gently buff the skin with warm flannel after bath on his arms. Is there anything that causes this or can help it? Thank you!

My daughter gets this. Not terribly, but when the light is right I sometimes notice. I've never really treated it, and it sort of slowly comes and goes.

Both me and my husband have this and so has my daughter.
I’ve tried everything to get rid of it but it never has. I’ve also got it on my thighs.
Just moisturise if it becomes very dry.

I have this on my arms and I stopped using soap. I use soap free shower gel (simple) and I also use a moisturiser that contains salicylic acid (Cereve). It isn't perfect but it's so much better that it was when I used soap based shower gels.
