Funny red thing on tongue! (Pic)

Hello! My 5yo has a little funny red thing sticking out on her tongue, it wasn't there last night, it's almost like a skin tag, but red! Absolutely fine in herself and rest of tongue fine! Anyone seen this before?!

An irritated taste bud ?

I get these, they feel really hard and annoy me. If I pick at them/squeeze them they get sore. I googled and like pp said it’s a taste bud. It’ll go away on its own.

Thank you both! I had wondered if it was a taste bud. I was trying to scrub it off with her toothbrush when I realised it was attached...oops!
