Is this a mole or something else?

14-year-old DD has just announced that she has had this 'since July.' It is at the very top of her thigh/side of bum.
It is not itchy or painful but I'm very concerned. Will phone doc first thing tomorrow but wondered if anyone could settle my mind a little?

Yes, it looks like a mole.
I went to the GP with a mole, took a picture, it hadn’t changed, so no issue.
Maybe speak to your GP for peace of mind, especially for dd.

Most likely either a mole or a wart. My GP diagnosed something similar from my back via my sending him a photo of it. I have a lot of moles and warts and quite often get them checked by the GP. They don't seem to mind me asking them.

But don't freak out that much. Though worth being vigilant, moles can look fairly wacky (atypical) and be totally harmless. I've got quite a few.

I've got the Miiskin app I use to keep track of various moles. It enables you to compare photos side by side to see if it's changing, and reminds you to take them every few months
