Hey,

I am curious to hear from anyone who has done baby swimming either in a class or just going yourself and loved it? What benefits did you see? eg better sleep patterns, developed skills in the water, good exercise etc. Would love to hear how you got on with it :). Thank you in advance. xx

Mine has always loved it. Very confident in the water, even after 6 months off over lockdown (he's 2 now, started at 5 weeks). Has no issue jumping in the water, showering, having water dumped over his head to rinse his hair when washing etc. Then there's the benefits to his health (it's a good all round exercise, good for core muscles etc.) and he sleeps well on swimming days too!

@SquishSquashSqueeze awesome thank you 😊. That’s really good to hear. There are so many benefits in my experience and sometimes I think the negatives can overshadow that. Hope yours goes on to swim for life 😊

To early to tell for my DS (8 months) but he LOVES going to swimming lessons. Looking at the other babies, splashing the water, even just the change of environment (since we can’t go anywhere else due to COVID).
He’s not a great sleeper, but he’ll nap for 2+ hours easily after swimming

@CupcakesK. Thank you for sharing. That’s such a key point at the moment the Covid. Any activity is valuable. That’s cool they love looking at the others. I think the social element can get forgotten alongside the health benefits. Happy swimming 😊

...does it have to have specific quantifiable benefits? Can't it just be fun?

Why are you asking?
