Hi
My 14 year olds canines aren’t breaking through the right side has gone completely in the wrong direction under the gum , I am on a waiting list at the Eastman for a second opinion , we did pay privately in the mean time to see an orthodontic recommended by the dentist she feels that it may have to be extracted as it’s growing into the root of the tooth beside it , my concern is if it’s taken out how obvious will it look that she has a canine missing , what can be done to fill the space she’s too young for an implant
Has anyone been through this I’m worried

So I took my dd to the Eastman today she had a thorough assessment & an X-ray on the impacted tooth , it seems all her other adult teeth are in place but are solid & slow to fall out
The orthodontic said that the troublesome canine isn’t interfering with other roots yet and she’d like to see my dd in 6/9 months time , to see how movement goes with other teeth then they will decide what to do about the canine she doesn’t think that a chain would encourage the canine to come down but would like to wait & decide what to do .
I’m no expert but a lot can happen in that time I am worried about this canine if it Keeps moving
Anyone else had this I thought that I would have got solutions today and that if they felt the chain wouldn’t work they’d extract it
