Breast buds in puberty

Can anyone help please? My 10 year old daughter has a lump under one of her nipples. She said its been sore for a day or two and tonight its a noticeable lump. I've completely panicked but after searching online it looks like it could be puberty and one can come before the other? Any advice would be great, thank you.

Well as a mum I'm assuming you're female. Do you not remember what happened to your body?

It sounds like the start of puberty, one breast may start developing first. If it continues to be painful and is bovering her can you speak to her GP?

I remember my Areola hurting and me speaking to my mum and we noticed it got bigger which was when I was 11 and the start of puberty. I don't think I was actually ready for it and I was mortified. My mum was so nice about it and at some point we went out and got me a couple of bralettes.

I remember panicking! And then a few years later a couple of friends admitted the same I think mine were one at a time

My DD has one too she's only 8. I looked it up and found breast bud too.

It's a weird feeling thing. I don't remember having them when I was young
