Child fainting?

Hi all, so had a frightening ordeal this morning, my daughter is 6 and has been a little rundown over the weekend with just symptoms of a cold. Shortly after waking this morning she felt sick, puked up a puddle of mucus, and then passed out!!! This has never happened before, I was totally shaken up, called 999 who recommended she saw her GP within 2 hours because she was then conscious, but I'm still racking my brains and concerned as to what made her faint. My doctor didn't find anything clinically wrong with her, and she just looks pasty with cold/viral symptoms. Has this happened to anyone's lo before after vomiting? He did say perhaps her blood pressure dropped, but it's just worried me. Thanks x

That must have been frightening when your dd fainted, my sympathies.
I think it's possible to faint while/after being sick, I've come very close to it myself - there's a sudden change in blood pressure that makes you very woozy.

My DC also have a tendency to throw up mucus when they have colds - it's worth teaching them to blow their nose properly/cough up mucus rather than swallowing it, which may make them vomit.
