Red spot on nose - 10/11 year old

Ds2 is 10, almost 11. He's had this red spot for a couple of weeks and I'm starting to get worried about it.

I'm wondering if it could be the start of acne (has a couple of blackheads on his nose he won't let me get!) as ds1 had quite severe acne and dd also has severe acne at the moment. However this feels different, neither ds1 or dd had a single large angry red spot for a couple of weeks.

Does it look like it could be cancerous?

The pictures aren't very good but it was the best I could get since my hands were shaking! I'm hoping that a head will form and it'll burst and then go away...

Just looks like a normal spot to me. He’s probably fiddling with it and that’s why it’s not cleared up.

It's been there a couple of weeks and as I was asking for a closer look, dd came in and mentioned how her teacher was telling them about a red spot her friend had and was cancer so me being me I panicked

Looks like a pimple and he's likely been poking at it, maybe not consciously. My sone had one similar that lasted forever. You could probably send a pic to a GP if you're really worried, but I wouldn't be.

Pop some sudacrem on it, it works wonders on spots.
