16 week vaccinations - panicking!

Hi everyone,

I wondered if anyone had any reassuring stories about the 16 week vaccinations. My daughters due to have hers tomorrow and I’m really getting anxious about it- I can’t sleep thinking about it!

When she had her 8 week ones she was really poorly and ended up in hospital. She was pale, floppy and choking on sick after the first lot and I was petrified having her go to hosptial in the ambulance Sad we were there about 8 hours but they said she had just had a bad reaction to the vaccines.

Her 12 weeks were absolutely fine. She had no reaction at all really and seemed like herself but j know the 16 weeks contain the meningitis jab again and I think this is what made her so poorly last time. I’m really panicking and getting myself worked up thinking about having to see her like that again- or Heaven forbid it’s even worse this time Sad

Does anyone have a similar experience and their baby get on better with the 16 week jabs? Just need some reassurance I’m doing the right thing taking her!

Thanks for any help Smile

No, but ask to skip meningitis , if you think that's what give the the reaction.

My son had a really high temp and ended up in hospital after his 8 weeks jabs, I felt the same as you about the 16 week ones as it was likely the reaction was down to the Men B vaccine, but he was comply fine with them, a bit grouchy and warm but a million miles removed from the initial response.
Vaccine reactions tend not to be as strong on the second/third doses on the whole.
