My little boy had a test done on Wednesday due to him having a temp on 40 degrees but that's the only symptom he had. The day after his test his temp went out down and he is completely fine. We got the test results back and its inclusive.
Now they say I could do the test on him again or isolate him. I don't want to so the test again as it was really tough the first time around.

What does everyone think...

Ive always wondered how they test babies and young children. I had a covid test and it was AWFUL to do! I wouldn't test your little boy again. You have to isolate even if the result was negative. Sounds like a lot of trauma for no reason!

If the result was negative you wouldn’t have to isolate Hmm I think for all-round peace of mind you should do another test. You’ll know what to expect this time in terms of administering the test and will hopefully get a proper result. (Tip: zip the baby into his coat but don’t put his arms in the sleeves, so he can’t thrash about. And a chocolate bar for afterwards helps!)

What are you talking about? So you're saying the test is 100% reliable? If you have coronavirus symptoms of course you have to isolate. Ffs

If the test is negative and symptoms have gone you do not need to isolate

I just re-read the OP and can see the child is fine. I thought he still had symptoms. My mistake.

My twins have also been testet, one twin twice and the other once (age 13-14 months) and they were fine with the tests. (they had asthmatic bronchitis not covid).
If you want a piece of mind, get another test done. However as you said, he's getting healthy again, so it might be a bit silly to test rather than just wait until he's well. Especially considering it's only a fever.
