Hello, my little one was 7lb when she was born and dropped down to 6lb 2 (9th centile) in 3 days. She's now 21 weeks, ive not had her weighed by hv for 9 weeks now but have just weighed her on my scales and she's 17lb 7oz and that puts her on the 91st centile... Should i be concerned??

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

What centile was she on at birth?

I think when you have been told that your baby is too small there can be a natural reaction to overfeed and be very worried they are not getting enough.

One of my children was the size of a 3 month old at 6 months but then went up to the 95th percentile very quickly after being weaned. I was referred to the paed for failure to thrive but by the second appointment we were discussing his heavy weight.

He's 6 now and still quite solid. I wouldn't be worried that she is on the 91st (someone had to be) but I would try and track to make sure it doesn't go up more.

She was on the 25th at birth, I'm pretty sure I've not been overfeeding her she's on 4 lots of 6oz and 1 bottle of 7oz.
