Sickness bug

Hi,

I got a call off my daughters school yesterday around 11am asking to come to collect her from school as she had been sick in the classroom. I picked her up and she said her tummy was sore but when we got home she was fine, she ate some dry cereal and a banana and kept everything down. Said she was feeling better. Had a sleep for around 3 hours and then was fine eating chocolate after that (tried to hide it, she found it haha). Anyway she’s been completely fine since no sickness or anything. However my question here is how long would it take for me or my son to catch this? I have really bad anxiety over this. I’m constantly washing our hands, cleaning everything she’s touched. As soon as she got home from school her clothes went in the washing machine.
Thank you! X

It’s usually 24-48 hours, if at all. I’ve been lucky and never caught any of my 4 DCs sickness bugs.

Hi Op hoping you managed to steer clear of your daughters sickness. I also get very anxious when my kids get sick as I have a real phobia of being sick.
Although being sick once with nothing further, iIwould wonder if maybe she was sick for another reason other than a bug? maybe too hot , sight of blood on another child , ran around after eating etc.
