Lump on toddlers penis

My toddler son has a lump on the side of his penis, it's soft and doesn't seem to be causing any pain. I've taken him to the doctor who thinks it's a fatty deposit but said it's unusual.. he's been sent an appointment for an ultrasound he's reassured me it's nothing to worry about but obviously I'm going to worry until he's had his appointment.. I've tried DR google 🙈. Can't seem to find anything so guessing it's not very common.. just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience?? And can maybe put my mind at ease 😩

Does it look white through the skin?

twinmumx · 15/11/2020 12:11

No doesn't look white. It just looks like his normal shin colour.

@twinmumx what was it? Is it gone now? my 20 month old son has the same issue - got a GP phone appointment in 10 days time, so long time to wait.

twinmumx · 21/04/2021 08:59

@Lykke1000 he went for an ultrasound and they couldn't see anything. Basically said an ultrasound wouldn't get to the bottom of what it's is. But he said he was certain it was a build up of smegma.. where the foreskin is still fused it can't get out, there was a name for it but can't remember what it was! But nothing to worry about!
He said if I wanted I could go back to the doctor but I'm just keeping an eye on it!
Let me know how you get on will be interesting to see if it's the same! x

@twinmumx thanks for your response! I’ll let you know once I find out more

@twinmumx we saw a consultant and he said exactly the same thing - he was certain it was a build up of smegma which will eventually come out but it can take years.
