Uncontrollable shivering but no temp

DD is 12. She has these shivering episodes, literally her whole body shakes but she has no temp, isn’t cold, hadn’t had sugar or caffeine, isn’t stressed or worried. She says she feels weird but can’t pinpoint it to a particular part of her body. She has had one about once a week for about 3/4 weeks- usually around 9pm def not faking as shaking is uncontrollable and goes on for about 20-30 mins. Any thoughts as to what it could be?

Low blood sugar? Infection? No idea. It would be quite reasonable to see a GP about it.

These are called ‘rigours’ and aren’t always accompanied by a fever

They indicate an extreme reflex response, often related to severe infection

Covid test?
