Stressed about dd’s blood results.

Dd had a blood test last Thursday due to not gaining weight (she is tiny, went from 25th centile to off the bottom of the chart) and being extremely tired.

I had a message from the GP today to ask me to phone in, the GP isn’t back till tomorrow so have to wait until then for a proper consult.

The receptionist was able to tell me that Dd has elevated levels of something - she had her liver function, thyroid and iron levels checked. Should I be worrying?!

I am NOT going to Google, because I really will go bananas then I’m sure!

It’s a really stressful time waiting for results isn’t it? Know what you mean about not googling Smile. My DS had low vitamin d and had to have a blood test after high doses of it to check it was back to normal. The levels were much better but his alkaline phosphatase levels were elevated. I worried about this but we got a letter from the paediatric consultant saying not to worry and just to keep giving him multi vitamins. Obviously you don’t know what your GP will say yet but I hope it is something like that and there is nothing to worry about. Hope everything goes well Flowers
